A clearer home for the collection
The main site now shares one navigation and reading layout across its pages. Analysis has keyword search and topic filters; long articles have section navigation, and project and contact pages have clearer entry points. This is a presentation update; article review dates remain separate.
A credibility pass: sources, counters and one duplicate URL space
Every page on the portal was re-read against the standard set out on the About page. Three changes are visible to readers. First, all 29 Analysis articles now carry a consolidated sources block at the foot of the page, and the seven longest pieces that previously cited sources only inline have one. Second, the counters on the portal — on the homepage and on the projects page — have been corrected against the live sites: 40 tools, 456 game pages across six titles, 200 travel pages across 30 destinations, and 72 live news articles. Third, the frontier-safety article has been rewritten to attribute the August 2026 events to the body that actually reported them, and to keep vendor self-assessment, independent evaluation and our own inference in separate lanes.
One technical change underneath: content under /main/ is an internal routing detail of this deployment, and it was reachable as a second copy of every page. It now redirects permanently to the canonical path, and the share-card and structured-data URLs that pointed at it have been corrected.
A Journal, and the deep dives come home
Two structural changes to the portal itself. First, a new Journal section: first-hand engineering notes on how this network is actually built and maintained, starting with five pieces on multi-domain Cloudflare hosting, a content-audit write-up, a bulk screenshot repair, a structured-data travel build and a 29-article cross-domain migration. Second, the 29 longest deep dives moved from the news sub-site to luminesca.net/analysis — the news sub-domain now redirects those URLs, so every article has exactly one canonical home. The homepage also gained a live showcase for the Journal.
Hollow Knight gets its own address, two guides reach full depth
The 142-page Chinese Hollow Knight guide moved from games.luminesca.net to a dedicated site, hk.luminesca.net — every old URL permanently redirects, and the sitemap, robots and search submissions moved with it. On the games hub itself, the Subnautica 2 guide (58 pages) and the Crimson Desert guide (76 pages) were expanded section by section to full-depth coverage: unlock routes, per-item breakdowns, boss tactics and FAQ blocks, all re-verified against the current game builds and re-dated. An ads.txt file was also added to the properties covered by the AdSense application.
Quality pass across the portal
An internal audit of all 41 portal pages: canonical URLs cleaned of stray file extensions, a full internal- and external-link sweep (two mis-spelled outbound domains caught and fixed), a related-reading section added to every analysis article, and the homepage counters now render their real numbers even without JavaScript.
The network hits 100+ articles and 450+ game pages
News passes the 100-article mark across five categories; the game hub grows past 450 pages across six titles; Travel reaches 22 destinations. Author pages and a dedicated editor mailbox now cover the whole network.
Research-methodology page and contact identity
The games hub launches a page explaining how its guides are researched, and every site in the network switches to a single editorial contact address: [email protected].
Corrected 2026-09-11: this entry originally described the page as a team page with named editors. The network is published by a single operator under one editorial byline, with no staff list, and no individual contributor names are published. The page now says so explicitly.
Content quality pass across the network
News articles gain verified sources and publication dates; long-tail game and travel pages add editorial source blocks and review dates. Every page now carries date-published structured data.
Travel site launches
travel.luminesca.net goes live with offbeat destinations, budget playbooks and planning guides — from Japan's quiet corners to the Balkans by road.
Main portal arrives
luminesca.net launches as the brand portal, bringing tools, games and news under one prism. The games hub adds Crimson Desert and Subnautica 2 guides the same week.
The first sparks
Luminesca Tools opens with a set of free browser tools, followed by the Hollow Knight guide and a news analysis site. The network was born.

How this log is kept
Entries are added when something actually ships — a launch, an expansion, a structural change — not on a fixed schedule. Minor fixes (a typo, a broken image, a CSS adjustment) are made quietly and do not get an entry; anything that changes what a reader or user experiences does. When a milestone description turns out to be inaccurate after publication, the entry is corrected in place rather than rewritten, and the substance of the correction is kept visible.
The log also doubles as our editorial record: if a page somewhere in the network contradicts something stated here, the update entry is treated as the source of truth and the page gets fixed. For the engineering side of these changes — how the migration was done, what the audit caught, how the hosting works — the Journal has the long-form versions.
